EZbra Advanced Wound Care ltd, a female-founded company laser-focused on creating products that serve the needs of women worldwide in post-op wound care, has announced its entry into the US market. EZbra successfully raised $3M USD in funding, primarily for the US launch.
EZbra is a proprietary sterile disposable all-in-one advanced breast dressing, offering a state-of-the-art solution to address the challenges that arise following all breast procedures (aesthetic, biopsy, lumpectomy, mastectomy, and reconstruction). Their entry into the US, brings a patented product to market, proven to help surgeons address patient discomfort as well as save time in the operating room.
"We are proud to bring our product to the US market and to introduce our solution to surgeons and their HCP staff to provide patients with a tailored, sterile and disposable breast dressing option," said Efrat Roman, breast cancer survivor and EZbra CEO. "Our goal is to offer a quality post-operative option, while providing patients with the independence, dignity and self-esteem they deserve during recovery."
As a business, EZbra is interesting because it uncovered an underserved market niche, which is readily scalable in terms of both markets and product innovations and in time both men and women are set to benefit.
"As Raw Ventures, we love that EZBra is a female-founded and female-led company. Through personal experience, they found a way to develop a product that addresses the needs of millions of women worldwide during their most vulnerable post-breast operation period. The product combines material, design and product innovation to provide more care and dignity during this difficult time." - Maria Zherebtsova, Raw Ventures Investment Director.
